REGARDS CROISÉS
Paris is going to become the largest metropolis in Europe by integrating its entire periphery, which for decades has been deliberately isolated. What will this change for the region and its inhabitants?
For many years now, I've worked in Seine-Saint-Denis (93), the youngest and most multicultural department in France.
These images are part of “Regards Croisés”, a project born from the collaboration between photographers and ethnologists. It took place in “les Fauvettes”, the most disadvantage neighborhood in Neuilly-Sur-Marne (Paris, France), where the main building (120 flats on 15 floors) will be demolished in 2024 so all the families living there will have to be rehoused. Despite all kinds of hardships, the majority of residents have lived there for several generations: this is their home.
